Paula Patton is an actress and producer well-known for her roles as a lead actress in the action-spy movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the romantic film Precious. Her early years were spent in Los Angeles where she came from a middle class family. The mother of her children was a film fan and encouraged her to love films as a child. Paula enjoyed participating in school co-curricular activities and was particularly fond of drama. Paula enjoyed acting with her friends, and she participated in school stage performances. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School produced a number of plays. The actress decided acting was her chosen career. She attended The University of Southern California in a summer program and thoroughly enjoyed her stint. She won an assignment for PBS to produce documentaries over 3 months. Her first job was as production assistant for television documentaries following her successful completion of the task. When she was done with her work then she began putting together documentary films. She loved her work however, she always wanted to become an actor. In the romantic comedy Hitch she starred in a minor part alongside Will Smith. Her roles have since been seen in numerous films as well as TV series.
