The daughter is Harvey Welker a Native American father and Julie Welker an African-American mother. The father of the family is an engineer while her mother works as an estate agent. Walker was a student at Germantown Friends School, which is part of the Germantown Friends School located in Philadelphia's Germantown, where she received a diploma in 1994. She went to Harvard College, where she earned a Bachelors of Arts degree. Welker and John Hughes, a famous marketing director of Merck Philadelphia with two children together.
