Maria Brink

 Maria Brink was born December 18th, 1977. She is an American musician and singer. In This Moment has gone to release seven studio albums and receive four nominations. Two came from the Alternative Press Music Awards, one from Grammy Awards, and one from Loudwire Music Awards.Brink has been awarded "Rock Goddess of the Year" in the third (2013) and fifth (2015) Annual Loudwire Music Awards, "Hottest Chick in Metal" in 2010, one of eleven women in metal heavy who are important by Yell! Revolver Magazine named Brink one of the "25 most hot girls in Hard Rock & Metal" in 2012. In 2002, at the age of 25 years old, she relocated to Los Angeles to find a group to work with. Prior to having a band, Brink worked in shops, and performed in coffee shops and bars. In an audition, she was introduced to Chris Howorth in 2004. Howorth was initially hesitant to hire Brink as a singer because she was an asian woman. Howorth apologized after two weeks and hired Brink as the singer. They came together as Dying Star with Jeff Fabb as their drummer. Later, Blake Bunzel and Josh Newell joined the group as guitarists. The band changed their name to In This Moment
